Who else misses Paul Harvey
On the radio at Lunchtime???? He was the best . I always looked forward to lunchtime, just to sit in my truck and listen to him every day. Life was so much better in those days. Good day!!!!!!!!

I miss his work. I didn't get to listen to him often but when I did I enjoyed his show. He was an interesting guy with a sad start to life and lots of influential friends in his adult life.
His "If I were the Devil." is a very good listen

For a long time I tried to make it a point of listening to him daily. He told stories that stuck with his audience. And of course he had a way of telling stories that no other could copy. It was quality news. Missed still by many.

As a kid even, I looked forward to his few minutes on the national news
He was a great story teller and had remarkable speaking voice and his delivery of the story was top notch
And now you know the rest of the story

Almost every day I use to go down by the Hudson River at West Point and eat my lunch while listening to Paul sitting in my truck. Most of the people at work were tired after lunch but I was refreshed and ready to give it hell again after listening to Paul's great stories.
I think my favorite was about the old prospector that came into town once a year or so to get provisions and then hit the Saloon and had too much to drink. People wondered why he had so much to drink and he rattled off all the things that upset him about city folks and how he was so glad to get back up in the hills.
I sure do miss Paul Harvey. ------------------------------Ray

Dude, you are giving away your ancientness.

I had my alarm set so I could listen to his radio show.
The only other radio show to rise to setting and alarm for was Rush Limbaugh.

Memories of Paul Harvey News and Comment take me back a long ways. Remember listening along with my great uncle at his farm. Ole uncle Charles was a very devoted follower who not only enjoyed Harvey's commentaries but also bought many products that were sold by the shows sponsors and advertised by Paul himself. He always made it a point that if Paul Harvey said something was a good product, you could count on it being a good product!
Sometimes when Paul would get to page 3 of his broadcast, he would tell a story about a LONG time married couple that were having an anniversary. One particular memory was about a pair celebrating their 75th. Paul's closing of the story was his own unforgettable style saying " how many times such a couple would have had to say I'm sorry to one another in order to stay together 75 long years."
The voice of Paul Harvey sticks in my memory like an old favorite song!
