People getting along doesn’t make for good “news.” Chaos and fighting do. It’s all about making headlines. Jerry Springer all over now.

Divide and conquer. If we all hate each other and fight amongst ourselves, makes it much easier for outside forces.Talk radio and the internet kooks have done more to damage the fabric of our country than anything I can remember.Doom and gloom.

Think about such (before you place your mark) next time you go to vote.

No "Mark," necessary. Mail in ballots, sent out to everyone. (Including those not eligable to "legally" Vote.)

WHY (?)Should it be so difficult to show up in person, show your ID, sign your name and Vote. (No Electronics involved.)

If you can't get off your lazy backside, in order to show proper ID and Vote, your Vote should not count. IMHO.

Of course they want those who are ineligible, too lazy, or do not have proper ID, including those that sit around and do nothing but collect benefits, to Vote. THAT is Exactly, what is wrong now. IMHO.

Our country was doing better than most other countries, until this last generation was born. You look at the people elected to office,(AOC and the squad), and wonder, did we really raise these kids???? WTH went wrong??? Well, IMHO, you just have to look at who is teaching them. Liberal teachers and liberal colleges. These were the protesters and draft dodgers from the 70's and 80's, that became professors in all of our colleges. Then you have these liberal, billionaire Mongol's, who own every type of news outlet in the country, from tv, newspapers and so on. They force their beliefs on every person growing up in the last generation. If you disagree with them, you are a homophobic, racist, Zena phobic, misogynist, evil person, out to destroy our country.

The “news” is just another form of “entertainment “ trying to attract viewers in order to sell ad space/ commercials

one thing I have noticed is the younger generation doesn't know how to argue, it they start to lose an argument they tend to get violent or threaten violence. we grew up to either stand and fight a bully, win or lose, or just ignore them and go on. I never understood the online bullying thing, just turn the stupid phone/computer OFF no more bullying. I think a lot of the problems come from the increase of one on one phone time and the decrease in actual interaction with other people, you have to learn how to deal with stupid people in life or you won't get by for long.......

    I am a Gen X’er.

The problem with judging entire generations is it is always done in hindsight.

The “zoomers” will no doubt think the millennials were the worst generation in history.

Being a boomer myself, I can’t really argue with anyone who says that we screwed this country over. The supposed Greatest Generation set us on the path to socialism, and we picked up the ball gladly and ran with it. Not all of us, to be sure, but enough of us to destructively change the course of this country. The later generations are merely picking up where we are leaving off.

First year boomer. My parents like many of yours grew up during the depression and then the war. They had little and worked hard for it. I had little, but never knew we were poor. I learned the value of money by working. Many of the folks I know in my generation and they next, said, "I want my kid to have everything I wanted and couldn't have." And the kids got everything they ever wanted, just because they wanted it.

Yup, I think the boomers had a lot to do with it.

Yep. That's what my mom and dad did for us. They both grew up poorer than poor. Then when they had the chance they gave us everything we needed. Top of that list was support, kindness, discipline, respect, commitment, and unconditional love.

I don't blame the boomers or the Gen Xers for the state of our nation. If every parent gave their kids the same that my folks gave me and my brother, we'd be free of a lot of bad attitudes America has to deal with.

This was known as "The Generation Gap" back in most of our days. There have always been differences in thoughts and ideals between the generations, but never has the birth time frame borders been so dissected into these alphabet soup categories.

My point in starting this thread has more to do with the constant daily bombardment of so called news articles blaming the boomers for all of America's ills. Just another lib tactic to divide the citizens.

I believe I agree with ya JD...

I know I wanted to assure that my chaps had it better than me, so I gave more than I got.

While I'm proud of their accomplishments, now... I'm not so sure I did the right thing. 😓
