If you're going by boat be careful and mark exactly the spot where you drop the firearms so on the return trip you can salvage them. I hear the Big House in Attica isn't a nice place to visit....or live 😊

The moon is closer than N.Y. I can see the moon from my porch at night.

You can get to the moon much faster than traveling to NY. You can build a rocket on scale from one gallon. For each one gallon increment you use to model your rocket from, it will only weigh between 7 and 9 pounds, usually 8.3 pounds.

Now, if you use that gallon scale to travel to NY, you only going to get 22 miles per 8.3 pounds. Also consider it takes twice as long to travel East than it does West or straight up towards the moon. As you travel east, the rotation of earth keeps moving your destination further and further away from you. You would need to compensate and use like 11.7 pound gallons.

Had they left the earth flat you could go anywhere in a straight line.

But with a round earth, you can just jump up in the air and let the earth rotate under you. Since the earth rotates approximately 1,000 mph, you'll be in NY in no time.

But you'd have to face west and let it come around to you, otherwise it will move away from you at 1,000 mph

Speaking of that, why not take a yak? Or maybe, a Kayak.

If a chicken and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, how many days will it take a monkey to pick the seeds out of a pickle.
