As gun violence remains on the uptick in the U.S., experiences with gun-related incidents are also rising, according to a KFF survey.
What they found: One in five U.S. adults said they've personally been threatened with a gun, and one in six have personally witnessed someone being shot, per the survey.
19% of people reported that a family member was killed by a gun (including death by suicide).
In total, more than half (54%) of all U.S. adults said they or a family member have had such an experience with gun violence."

I agree. BUT the stats matter. WHO was in the survey? Chicago, Atlanta, St Louis, etc, ect. I'm sure a lot of them have witnessed a shooting.

I call BS no way their numbers are right
But he did say they prove a point if they would just look
About its not the gun that transports itself of fires it self and so it has to be a person doing it not the gun
But we all know that
It just not fit the naritive to take away our guns
I think if the peope who have saved them self or the family or even saved even a stranger using their gun to stop a thug and gave them the same airtime and plubicty and desk pounding on what great job they did

The sample size was only 1,200 people and they didn't reveal the population. If they had asked only one person they could have claimed that 100% had witnessed a shooting. Or that nobody ever has.

Exactly. One thing I remember most about my Statistics class in college was you can predict the outcome of a statistic based on the inputs.
