Price Thompson
I visited Carpenters Run Pioneer Cemetery in Blue Ash section of Cincinnati, Ohio today. An ancestor of mine is buried there. He served in the American Army for the length of the Revolution. He was given 100 acres of land in Ohio for his service.
Price Thompson was born in New Jersey in 1756, and died in Ohio in 1842. My daughter took a DNA test recently, and began researching our family tree. She found out that my Grandmother was a direct descendant of him.

He lived 86 years, wow that's OLD for that time!

I've been using the Find A Grave website for several years to track and visit many of my ancestors online. Many details about the family are included there along with photos of the graves and sometimes even photos of the people themselves. An interest I have shared here in the past and I was helped a lot from our late member kimi may he RIP.

I keep putting off digging deeper into our family.
Kimi helped me once i memtioned. a possible ancestor who was in the Civil War named banner several past generations great uncle
I was always under the impression he fought for the south but found out he was listed as fighting for the north but
I also learned thaks to kimi a lot of southerners switch sides it was not ncommom as the war wore down not about loyalty as much as better food better treatment and avtualy getting paid
when it looked like it was lost cause for the south they knew the north would be paying veterans pensions
i was a bit disappinyed however
I guess I can understand why so many flipped sides especially late in the war

My Grandmother on my mother's side traced that side of the family to 1816, when the first ancestor came into Texas from Arkansas.
It's my Grandmother on my Father's side that seems to be a direct descendant from Price Thompson.
I have an interesting family tree on both sides.

I have a guy tracing our family tree right now. My fathers side, changed their name when the came here from Scotland. My mothers side was traced back to Sicily, where my grandmother and grandfather were born. I guess that makes me a McWop. lol

A relative on my mother's side served in the Continental army. She has a copy of his discharge papers signed by Gen Washington. One of her relatives have the origional.

Absoulutely! My Wife's 5th great grandfather served in the Revolution.
