Of all the cars/trucks you have ever owned, which one was truly a nasty piece of excrement??
My number one piece of crap was a 1968 chevy 302 CI engine, 3/4 ton pickup. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!
So under powered. But to make matters worse the engine came from the factory with a soft crank. At about 18,000 miles the engine blew. Because of the soft crank issue the local dealer did a free rebuild. They charged exactly what their rebuild job was worth. This turd on wheels went down three times before it hit 100,000 miles.
Only because a friends father was a good lawyer did I not end up paying for two more rebuilds.
Next pickup was a ford. Never looked back!!😁

2004 trailblazer if it made it a month without something breaking it was a good month. Even when it was under warranty it spent more time at the Chevrolet garage then mine.

When I was 16, I had decided to quit high school and live the good life. A fleeting dream as my Dad woke me up the very next morning at 6 am and put a shovel in my hand digging footings in a housing development that he was pouring the cement slabs for. Anyway, I needed transportation, so Dad bought me a truck and I was to make payments to him. It was an old Dodge, maybe a 1965 or 66, and it was ugly baby crap yellow. I had never driven a straight shift, so I was taught in a field, and I picked it up right away. This truck had belonged to the "Rent A John" company and reeked of that awful sickly-sweet perfume smell they treated the toilets with. That first day I stopped with my buddy to buy some gas and decided to check the oil. FOUR QUARTS that thing took!! Four quarts!! When I cranked it up it looked like a scene from a war movie where the good guys are pinned down and they "pop smoke" and everything kinda disappears. That truck was the worse. I actually don't remember what happened to it. I know I didn't have it long.

Yup, had a 68 impala 302 two door hardtop, loved the looks but the 302 didn't hold up, overhaul and got rid of it.

I found that if you keep them lubed they lasted longer for sure.

I have owned many cars I mean many over my life I use to love to trade and have something different all the time
however when I was younger
I liked to tinker with my cars and of cours things break or wear out my dad was always on me buy a new one you wont have to work on it .. I heard that so many times
so when I got a decent paying job I went to a local ford dealer they had received in a new 1978 special edition mustang II king cobra
trust me nothing like the 69 cobra Fairlane I had early on. the mustang was all air dams fender extensions ,spoilers , mag wheels and lots of decals all show with a smog 302 I doubt it had 200 hp all show no go
the mustang was back to the dealer I would guess every two weeks on a average if it could break or cause a problem it did
one issue I would hit 60 mph it would just die . every time so back it went several times they kept Tellin me its fine we have no problem then it would die on the way home I was not a happy camper
I had the shifter break off while shifting ( well it pulled out of the transmission ) so back it went
add in a bunch of other issues it was junk big time
I went once to pick it up after some repairs reverse light was stuck on ( this was after they fixed the shifter ) I told the shop leader so he said sorry I will have order a new switch .. then he calls "hey bob" dis connect the back up light switch so the fool bob gets under the dash unhooks my brake light switch .
which I was watching and ask WTH thats my brake light switch the reverse light in on the transmission. not good to see some fool trying to fix your car , honest buy then I knew enoung about cars I could repair and rebuild the whole car my self
I went by the parts department the guy in there was a good fellow and great to deal with he ask what was up with my mustang and un like the garage boss he shook his head said I got 4 Reverse switches on the shelf no need to order one
any way it was always one thing or another breaking or just bad, it had to have been build on a Monday .
I kept it about a year then traded in on a f250 4x4 high boy ford
it was a attention getting car but a piece of crap

2002 Ford Exploder. I loved that car. Great ride, good in snow. However, a new electrical problem every day. The transmission let go at 156k miles. Replaced it and the engine let go six months later.

Honestly never had a lemon . Every car or truck i owned have been decent dependable rides. I got 23 years out of my last f150. Spent the most money on a hotrodded 1970 corvette convertible.

Ford Taurus. But I delivered mail out of it. It needed twice the radiator that it had. Those back three cylinders got toasted. Ford must have been inspired by AMC when they designed it. Roomy, comfortable, quiet, smooth. The kind of car you'd want for a 500 mile trip. But there was always something brewing under the hood.

2009 Cadillac CTS…everything that could fail did. Finally got out from under that piece of crappola. Funny thing was…I had a 2004 CTS and it was my favorite - and most reliable - ride ever. When my teenage son totaled it, I wanted a newer “improved” version. Guess I got suckered by recency bias.

87 Chevy G20 conversion van with a 307 (5.0) V8. They put in 2 short blocks before figuring out it the heads were cracked. The Engine was still underpowered. They had to repaint it as the dark grey paint faded away. Several other problems also.

I’ve had pretty reliable vehicles. But when I used to do sales my company decided the 330K trouble free miles from the Toyota pickup I was driving had deprecated out. So they put me in a 97 Chevy Astro. Biggest hunk of junk on earth. Didn’t even make 80K before it needed a new transmission. Went through 3 A/C compressor’s. Various other problems. I know Chevy sold a lot of them and some love them, but not me.

A 1964 Opel Cadet. I bought it to drive to college. If anything could go wrong with it, it did. It looked nice on the outside, but looks were deceiving.

1982 Dodge Power Wagon....brand new. I had it a week when I pulled up to a stoplight, I heard what sounded like a metal pipe rolling down the road. It was the drive shaft. I had it towed to the deal. They told me I hadn't been maintaining the truck properly. I eventually got my money back.

Loved all my various rides, looking back on them. 1st was a 61'Ford Econoline van w/"three on the tree." From there, I bought a 69' Karman Ghia. Bought a 74' Z28 after that, traded that a few years later for a 72' IH Scout II, from there went to a Toyota SR5 liftback, (when my then girlfriend and I were out and about, [when I went down to SW VA from the Hagerstown, MD/Gettysburg, PA area, where I was Stationed.] Wrecked/rolled my car when I dumb like let her drive it, after being out till like 2-3 am Out to Eat, drinking, Skinny Dipping, etc. Very foggy, curvy Country road) "Hungry Mother State Park." After the wreck was over, Her - "I don't have a License." I had to tell the Trooper/Sherrif I was driving. Had to come back down to Court on that one.
Was back down, months later to go to Court, in my Dress Greens. Was in the Lobby of the Courthouse using the Elevator when I caught the closing door and let an Older Gentleman in. He was asking various questions about my Uniform and my various decorations and badges. Although pre-occupied with "I'm about to get Screwed," I politely spoke with him and answered all his various questions. The Beruit bombing had just taken place, killing I believe 32/33 Marines. We spoke about that. Etc.(Guess who the Judge was? ) 🤔👍😁
Anyway, long story (Sorry.) Had my insurance $$ from my wrecked SR5, Found a 67'GTO up in MD. that needed a fair amount of work. Snapped it up. Spent 3 years in the Army building it up, in the On Base fully equipped shop we had access to. When fairly new (to me) and still needing a fair amount of work. I was out Off Base somewhere, when my shift linkage under the car got all jammed up. (Hurst shifter) I had a date with one of the most beautiful girls On Base, that I was "No Showing," on, because I was under my car, trying to un-jam the linkage. (Not the 1st time it had happened.) This was before Cell-Phones, so I was Screwed. She was Seriously PO'd, but I finally pleaded my case about my car, no phone, etc. (And) Won her over. We dated for awhile.
When I got out of the Army in 84' I went back down South (to where I live now, going to College.) Spotted a 51' Ford pickup w/a 351C in it, and a C10 Auto. Traded "even up" for my Sweet 67' GTO, (lost my *** on that trade, but I wanted the truck.) Spent years making that truck Sweet. Got a 75' (?) Triumph TR6, (Sweet ride, in College.) I believe my next vehicle was an Audi 5000.
Went on from there, many, many nice rides. Would Love to have many of them back. 😢

The worst for me was a 1980 model Mercury Grand Marquis. When I had it, I walked a lot when it quit on the way to many places. It was yellow and it even smelled like a lemon!

My first car, a 1950 Plymouth 2 door sedan. Flat head 6, 3 on the tree and a slipping clutch. As my aunt said, "Beats shoe leather flappin'!" The fastest I ever drove it was about 65, the steering wheel would almost get out of hand.

I had a 1971 VW van. I loved this car. But the engine was as we say in Germany, a Scheissestuck.The engine blew up, drove a piston rod through a cylinder. I paid big bucks to have it rebuilt and 8,000 miles later it blew again.
Great roomy car, fun to drive, great transmission but the 4 cylinder air cooled engine, not good.

When I was young I would have loved a VW van!! All I can think of is that would be so much fun loading it up with cute, easy hippie chicks!! Who cares if it didn't run!! Just get it parked where those easy girls could jump in!!😂😋😂

1994 FORD F-150. 45,000 mile three year lease. I ended the lease early because the engine was 'losing' a quart of oil every 600-700 miles and blowing a gallon of coolant every 1000 miles. I saw the pickup a month after I returned it to the dealer. It had been sold as a low mileage 'cherry' to a local guy. When I asked him if he'd checked the coolant lately, he gave me an evil stare and went smoking (the exhaust, not the tires) out of the Walmart parking lot.
Dodge Dakota comes in at second place.
