They used to be a real news gathering operation. When the Iraq War was getting cranked up, the word went out, and reporters from ABC and NBC packed up and left Baghdad, flew back to New York. But the CNN crew told Ted Turner they wanted to stay and cover the story. That took some nerve.
CNN presented live video of US bombs hitting all around their hotel in downtown Baghdad. Fantastic coverage!
CNN was really good, once upon a time, in a faraway land, long long ago.

If CNN did a "retro" story about their incredible coverage of the Iraq War, they probably would blame the war on Trump. Seriously.
I was skipping around the dial last night, getting "all sides" of the indictment. I turned on CNN, hadn't watched CNN in a year. Of course the reporters were gleeful.
I lasted 2 minutes, and the hostess gal said "Well of course the reason the poor trans girl shot up the school in Nashville is Trump's fault." That is what she said. I changed the channel.
