I'll renew mine in August, even though I don't need it in Ohio, There are occasions that I wander out of state.

I keep mine renewed for the same reason , I like it for travel. I also keep a printed copy of all the states that recognize my CCW in my glove box, just in case I get pulled over in an area where cell phone service is bad and I cant pull the info up on my phone

That's an excellent idea. Never hurts to have information available in paper form.

Surprised that the State still allows a County to have that kind of authority. I moved from Oregon, and they have just about made it illegal to carry concealed. They still allow you to have a permit, but it's just about illegal everywhere to have a weapon on you. It's a shame to see what the West Coast States have become.

Same here I Renew mine in KY. Mostly for Carry, Travel and a secondary form of ID if needed.

The CDWL (Concelaed Deadly Weapon License,) also has the benefits of bypassing the NICS background check, in KY.

Some folks in KY are letting then's lapse, as KY hot has Constitutional Carry.

It does scare me, somewhat that some folks are carrying and have no training.

NJ permit is 200 for two years. My Utah permit, which is good in 38 states, is 25 for five years. NJ is lowering their permit price because the minorities are claiming it is not fair to them, as they can't afford it . It is suppose to go down to 25 for 2 years, on July 1st.

Here in Colorado, the California of the Rockies, it's over $150 to get the permit and then $68 to renew. I expect those prices to double or triple given the agenda of our governor.

I go to my renewal class on the 6th... Thank goodness I have a small stash of .38 special ammo. It's so expensive. I'll do a little practice at home with the .22 revolver for good measure.

$145.00 counting the class room, range, county and state fees. And we have to requalify with each weapon on our permit with a maximum of three. If you break it down it is only six bucks per month.

We are allowed to use reloads and I cast my own so it isn't too costly.

Sadly, too many states require more.

I like the Springs. Beautiful surroundings and still red. I’m in Douglas county just an hour north.

CC permit not required but I renewed mine not long ago. It is nice to buy a gun and just take it without the background check, since my permit proves it has already been done. This is in IOWA where our state motto is "Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain".

Edit: It is $50 for 5 years.
