I love Persian style blades and this one is cool. It is a Cold Steel "Roach Belly" that Sam06 gave me a couple of weeks ago when he came down. The steel is German 4116 stainless,

and she is sharp. I had a Kydex sheath made and now it will ride on my every day carry bag.

That should hold a good edge

That's a pretty nice looking knife and it was very nice of Sam to give it to you.

What we're all really dying to know, though, is what is that big-azzed rubber band for?

I believe the steel is 416 stainless.

Congrats, Cold Steel imports some pretty good and reasonably priced knives. I've had one of their small Voyager pocket knives for about 15 years and it is still going strong. Holds a good edge and even with the abuse I've inflicted upon it, it is still tight at the hinge and locks up good. Bob

Resistance band. I blew out an old hernia repair a couple of months ago doing a kettle bell workout, so I am taking it slow right now. Resistance bands are fantastic though. They will really loosen up the shoulders and make you feel great. And it's pretty hard to hurt yourself with them. You should try them.

Actually, I'm already doing them, mine are red tubular jobbies though. I've got a shoulder surgery coming up in July so I'm trying to get a jump on the PT/strengthening post-op care.

Nice, common sense, utility knife. It will probably do almost anything a custom ground expensive blade will do. I will be looking for one to tote around!
