Our baseball coach in high school used to have a bat in his golf bag. He would use it on occasion and was quite impressive in distance, not so much in accuracy !

Would have to keep it challenging. I’m thinking a golf ball mortar tube would be the ticket for a fun game.

Loooooong ago........I once center-hit a golf ball, that I had set on top of the 25 yard target frame, with my Savage-Anschutz 54M (22Mag).
You would NOT believe how fast that golf ball made it to the 100 yard berm!!!🤪🤯

here is my 'driver', uses .308 blanks and will 'shoot' a golf ball over 1/4 mile. barrel is from son's junked dirt bike.

I have a golf ball launcher. Was going to use it for a fund raiser at charity tournaments ($5-10 per shot, closest to a flag in the fairway). The problem is it goes too far with 5.56mm blanks, like 400 yards! I'm thinking of venting it to control distance. A friend has a machine shop, and he suggested angling the vents about 30 degrees forward to lessen the muzzle blast. I am using an H&R single shot with threaded barrel.
Any ideas?

In the past, I have described what we call "Wyoming Golf" here.
Each player tosses a golf ball underhand as near or far as he likes. The player with the closer ball shoots first with a .22 (pistol or rifle, but both the same) Taking turns from within the "tee box", each player gets three, four, or five shots (par 3, etc) and the winner is the one whose ball goes farthest. If your ball lands behind an obstacle, that's tough. After each "hole" you toss a new ball.

You do have to be very aware of ricochets, but it sure is!
A .22 bullet will go almost all the way through a center-hit golf ball, often leaving a large bump on the far side. An edge hit gives a big curved flight, and a hit at the bottom launches one straight up.
