got a twofer...........
my hip replacemen didn't go as planned instead of day surgery I got a two night stay. Seems for some reason somewhere between surgery and the recovery room my hip became dislocated. They called the Dr out of his next surgery and my wife said he was yanking and twisting my leg in ways it wasn't made to twist and couldn't pop it back in. so back I went to surgery, guess he had to cut me open again and go back in and put a longer replacement in, my leg was longer to begin with and he had been trying to even them back up, but he said the angle was wrong so he had to lenthen it 1/4 and said he bent and pulled it every which way and would guarantee it wasn't coming out this time.
guess they should change my middle name to Murphy, and from all the twisting and the second incision the swelling was terrible so they kept me to make sure I would have no problems or throw any blood clots. Poor dog is going crazy trying to get in my lap, and he doesn't like the walker either, when I struggle up he goes behind the couch and hides whick is a blessing in a way as he isn't underfoot, but it does make it a chore to get him out the back door to use the bathroom.
grandkids last day of school is today and they leave monday for their dads down south for a month or so, so I guess I am on my own, I can get around for almost everything I need I am just a little slow, not sure how much I may be on here as the pain pills do make me a little more loopy than normal,,,,,

Better that they figured out things weren't fitting right while you were still in the hospital! I had a buddy that got one of his hips 'fixed' and they had him a half inch longer on the repaired side. He had all kinds of issues and finally almost a year later they went back in and got things adjusted/shortened.
That month without the grandkids will give you time to get good and healed up!

Easy on those pain pills, though. I was on them once and the things blocked me up like rush hour traffic.

thanks all for the well wishes, as per the pain pill plugging me up, one glass of apple juice will liquify things in a hurry, at this point I don't think I'm fast enough to handle that though, been through it with the other hip, the bypass and broken leg years ago when I hit a car head on with motorcycle. If just sucks to sit here looking out at the nice weather knowing I can't enjoy it for week or two........ I should tell Ricci to watch his back as the grandkids will be in Leland? just 20 minutes or so from him and the little redheaded princess of evil is in a bad mood cause grampa put a high rise lift on the toilet!!!!!!

Man, that sounds scary. I would love to come play a round of golf with you someday. Whatever you do, Please take this one piece of advice.....Throw those pills in the trash. They are very addictive and you will have a hard time coming off them after a month or two. When you do, expect to feel the withdraw for about three days, along with a bad case of diarrhea. While taking them, you will be constipated, but when you come off, stay near a bathroom. I just had to return to taking them for my back, after 6 years off of them. It sucks, but it is the only thing that helps me. Oakie

Well geez. Glad it popped out there and not after you were back home trying to recover. Glad he was able to get it fixed up and tested it by all his twisting. Take it slow and easy, heal each day.
