It is kind of you to ask. I come along infinitesimally every day. It is hard to tell except by comparison to how much pain I was in before. I have my last appt with the spine guy next week, and then hope to see a hip guy to see if I need new ones. I can't really differentiate where the discomfort and walking difficulty comes from except that my whole pelvis area hurts.

At least the neuropathy and "lightning bolts" down my leg have gone away. I can get in a half mile on the treadmill or an equivalent walk outside before I'm zonkered. In total, I'm a lot better even though I'm nowhere near healed.

Your description is horrid. I had only one ruptured disc, and can't imagine your situation.

I'm glad the shooting pain in the rear and legs is gone. That is the worse. I pushed myself to get better, not only for myself, but for my family. I had a great surgeon and fantastic rehab nurses. I could never thank them all enough. Keep doing what the doc says and time will definitely heal everything. God bless.

Glad to hear your pain is subsiding. I’ve had back problems for years, but learned to work with it by doing stretches. About 5 weeks ago I got ramie cutting some trees an got it acting up. Called doctor and got some Flexarel and Prednisone and took it for a week, after 3 weeks was back to normal. If someone has never had back pain it’s hard to describe how debilitating and painful it can be. Good luck and prayers for a full recovery.

I took "Pregnant Zone" for five days and it did indeed relieve a lot of pain, but it also froze my vocal cords. I was mute the whole time. Strange side effect. Nod, shrug, point. Made my wife giggle.

I have kidney issues so I can't take NSAIDs. All I'm allowed is arthritis-strength Tylenol (I call it "a set of minnow fins" Can you tell that I love to twist words?) and I supplement that with aspirin when needed. Nothing stronger allowed.

Yesterday, I went to Walmart to buy some more Blue Emu (good stuff, btw) and look for some cheap slip-on shoes. I ended up having to walk from one end of the store to the other before gimping back to my car. It just about did me in.

My memories of PT after my worst back surgery involve a MEDICINE BALL. You all must know what one of those things are.

I had lost all of my equilibrium and that monster ball came into play with me throwing it against a wall and doing my best to catch it without it knocking me on my......... There was a tiny physical therapist gal behind me to catch me if I lost it.

Some improvement is better than going the way you were, hope everyday brings you some small gains at least. Being laid up isn't any fun after being active your whole life. I can only imagine the smiles you put on your wife's face be unable to talk.
