Legal Sporter class, right bolt left port TURBO action, 6X Leupold scope with fine cross hairs, Shilen match Barrel, Jewell trigger. It meets the 7.5 pound weight limit.

Looks great. After your other post, I thought I would dig up some of my leftover 22br targets and put some holes in them. Since I won't be shooting in any matches, I'll probably take out my good old Anschutz 64MS and see if it still works.
LOL! I'll be shooting it right side up though!
It wouldn't meet the weight requirements, but it does have a 7oz trigger, typical Anshutz accuracy and an original 12X Redfield. I probably haven't had it out in 10 years. So many guns, so little time. Bob

When shooting benchrest having to reach around the gun to load it is a PIA. You can't see the chamber to align the bullet correctly with the chamber. In my case having a fused neck makes it a real issue. Having the left port allows you to open the bolt, insert the round and visually assure it is straight into the breech as you close the bolt. It also speeds up loading so you can take advantage of winds in your favor.

Why is the scope mounted so high? I assume there is a reason. Is it because it it designed to be shot solely off a benchrest? (Same with the flat buttstock?) 🤔

With that rifle it gets the scope up enough to ease neck and eye strain since you do not actually shoulder the rifle. It is held steady by a front rest and rear bag allowing free recoil. There is no butt pad to reduce weight and is not needed in the rimfire bench rest discipline. I agree that stock is eye candy for sure.

Your rifle reminds me of my almost identical Anschutz 54.18MS, with its 50.18 target trigger set at 1.5 oz. Long ago I mounted a Leupold 6.5-20x AO Target scope......and a few years later added an adjustable Tuner to the barrel.
Bought the rifle in the early '80's.......and I'd add a pic, if I could find one. 🤔
