A local man was killed in an avalanche
He roomed with my grandson in college. I know his parents and grandparents well.

Damn. Avalanche in summer. Well, Sierra Nevada is Spanish for Snowy Mountain. I guess the Conquistadors knew what they were talking about.
That has to be a bad way to die, suffocating under the snow.
