Interesting OceanGate Sub Video - Mission III
Video from “Scuba Jake.” He has a huge following on YouTube for his “River Treasure” channel. Apparently, he was slated to go on Mission III. Fortunately for him, it got scrubbed at the last minute. However, he posted his video documenting the lead-up to the dive. An interesting inside look at the operation.

NOTE: Towards the end the video, they actually load up in the sub to try a test dive, so you get a real good view of what it looked like inside, how the crew got sealed in, etc.
To me, the whole thing looked like amateur hour.

Another participant who had put a $110,000 deposit on a dive, asked for his $ back when he stated, "It did not seem like a Professional Diving Operation." He was also warned by other submersible owners/designers that this Co. (Oceangate) were cutting corners and taking unnecessary risks.
My opinion (worth what you paid for it) is this Co. Is going to get sued into oblivion. Too many people from their past have been trying to talk sense to the Co. about their approach to Safety and adequate Testing, for it to be ignored at this point.
Not to mention the cost of the attempted rescue. (Read that just for the Coast Guard it was in the millions.) Right now, Taxpayers (You and I) are on the hook for that. 🤔
Is that Okay, when this was a For Profit Co.? They have had 47 clients at $250,000 ea. Pony up some $$.

It is a creepy video, showing a guy getting bolted inside the sub of death. He just went on a test dive to 3,000 feet.

Why try to recover anything?
Do we really need to know any more info?
Heard a guy say that the 7 inch thick plexglass window was bending inward about 3/4 inch when at those depths.
It's a learning experience already and when WE explore places such as this, outer space, etc, expect the expected.
Forest gump had a saying for stuff like this.
