Do you think it would be bright enough to navigate walking up a steep hill in the dark, IF that need ever arises? Asking for a friend.

Absolutely. I don't know how much throw it has, how far away you can see, as I have not tried it outside. But the room just outside my door is probably 20x30 feet and it lights it up just fine. I don't know how long the charge lasts as I just got them, but the reviews are good.

That looks like a near clone of my Streamlight, which sold for $40. Does it have a low/high option?

Never mind. I just went to the link. It has Hi/Lo/strobe modes.

Lots of one star reviews with the same complaint and the company not answering phone calls or replying to emails.

A friend of mine gave me this Lumintop flashlight a while back. I swear, I have used it every day since then. It has three different light settings, and when you pull it out of your pocket and turn it on, it comes on at the last setting. The little rubber cap makes it easy to hold between your teeth when you need both hands. You can also put it over the light and it creates quite a nice little lantern. It takes one AAA battery. When it dies, you don’t need to wait hours for it to recharge. Just put in another battery.

Looks about like my olight i5r yours has a little more lumens on hi power. I do love the batteries have a recharge port right on them.

It also looks very much like my Streamlight protac, but has more lumens as well. More lumens is not always better, as you can get washout in certain situations. It just needs to be bright enough to temporarily blind a would be attacker, based on training I adhere to.

Reminds me of my daily carry Stream light microstream....I have both the USB rechargeable and battery only versions. Both great strong, lightweight, slim lights....the little pocket clips that attach to your hat are a great plus as well.
