Bought A New Toy Today - (Photo added to show what a "Toy" it is.)
125cc, Rival Motorsports, Trail Hawk ATV. ($1800 OTD)
4 Stroke auto, front/rear disc brakes. Rear rack. (Already mounted two Milk crates onto it.)
Will do 45mph. Pull wheelies and throw gravel/dirt in a hard turn on throttle.
Unfortunately, it does not have enough low end grunt to get me up really steep trails. (4 stroke w/auto trans.) If it was a two stroke w/gears, maybe. Next size up (250cc) was almost a $1K more.
Have been tooling around the Holler and exploring side trails since about 1pm. Liking it. 👍

Photo's will not load until I am out of the Holler. Will try and load some then. (But) At Work, "Firearms sights," will not load. Can not access GB.

That's it. w/rack on the back. (Now w/milk crates added.) Tried/rode several. This will do what I want, without breaking the bank.
4 wheel disc brakes, lube points on all pivoting points. (More Off Road model, "Challenger,") was drum brakes and shifting. No rack, no lube points. Same price.
Not for "children," it's Adult sized. (And I weigh 195 lbs.)
I like what I bought, for the $$. Mainly being used to tool around the neighborhood with, moderate trail use.

Those are great. My 10-year-old niece learned to ride on one before she upgraded to a bigger/more powerful ride.

Maybe put a larger crate on the back for Buddy and one of those little wicker baskets on the handlebars.

Next step up, was a 250cc for $2500 OTD.
This was a spur of the moment, treat for Ken. Did not want to spend the extra $700, for the 250cc. For what I'm gonna do, this'll do fine.
The off road trails it would not carry me up are really steep. (Probably no business being on them anyway.) If I woulda' went in full throttle, probably get me up. (But) Don't wanna hurt my Old Hindend. 😁
Man's gotta know his limitations. 🤔

It was all really funny, until I could regularly pass them in the curves, on their 650/750cc rides. 🤔😉😂🤣
Like what I bought. That is all that matters.

I out grew my need for speed a long time ago. 45 mph is plenty fast enough for me. My gas powered 11 horse golf cart cruises my back road neighborhood just like a pontoon boat on a still quiet lake!
That new machine looks like it will be a lot of fun for you Ken!

If/when I can post photo's of it, you can see it on the trailer behind my Jeep. It is not a tiny little Toy ATV. You can see in relation to my Jeep and trailer, it is a full size (granted smallish) ATV. My buddies, all with ATV's think I got a "Screaming Good Deal." They have all ridden it and like it. (As do I.)
A couple guys that work in the shop, where I bought it, Ironhorse/Big Bad Motorsports a couple doors down, came in to the grocery store where I work. We were talking about it and I mentioned it not pulling me up 45% inclines. They said "It Should." The Mechanic was there and told me two thing to adjust/rectify. They "Downtune," the ones out front available for Test Drives, so people don't go nuts in the parking lot. (Mine was the only one they had of this model.) They said, they had not re-adjusted it, before I loaded it on my trailer. Will do as they suggested. (Have not done so yet.)
Rode it around, when I got home this evening. Still liking it. Still breaking it in. (1/2 throttle, etc.)

Specifically, the "Throttle Limiter, and a couple Carb adjustments. Easy to do. They said, "if your still having issues, bring it back in. It'll pull you up a 45% incline."
Nowhere in my Owners manual, does it discuss, "Rider Weight." I know watching my buddies tool around on it, they do not appear out of proportion. 🤔
A few of my buddies and I had a few ATV's together this evening. It did not look out of proportion. Smaller than their's, yes. (Polaris 400cc 4X4's etc.) Kid size? Yeah Okay. We were all laughing, when I told them I was taking grief here, about buying a "Kid's ATV." Oh Well.

@austin20, interestingly - it does not call out "Country of Origin," on anything I have looked at. The head Office/Co. contact is in Carrollton, TX.
It's an "Off Brand" (New Start Up Brand?) Reflected in the $$. I'd bet China, but I have not seen that on anything yet.
The shop seems very up front about standing behind their product if U have any issues. (Reflected in my interaction/their response today.)
*As an aside - Their literature/Owners Manual, does not have all the Spelling/phrasing/grammar issues usually found in a China produced equivalent.

My son's first bike was a Ninja 300. He still has it. That little bike can fly. Outruns my GL 1800 and my Electra Glide. Those little ninja's, never lose value either. Enjoy your new quad. Like I always say, ride your ride. As long as you like it, Nobody's opinion counts.

Many of the side by side atv's from major brands cost north of $18,000 these days. For $1800, you'll have just as much fun.
When atv's became popular in the 1980's, a 250 cc was considered a big machine. 125's were quite popular.
