It may be Happy pride month for some but not me. I cannot see it in myself to celebrate a mental condition it's like celebrating Dictator pride month with Pol Pot as the face of the celebration.

I’m proud to be a legal citizen of the United States, I proud to have served my country in military, I’m proud that I pulled my own weight over the years. I’m thankful that my parents taught me right from wrong and gave me a solid Christian up bringing.

I am not proud that they want us to except homosexuality as a normal way of life and applaud it, it’s a mental illness.

This pretty much sums it up

This pride month BS was made up so the weirdos can try to feel good about themselves, and so they can flaunt their nonsense by trying to normalize their abhorrent behavior.

Proud of my daughter going to college, still thinking for herself, and becoming a young woman with strength of character despite the influences of college and current world views.

I think they got it backwards. May was mental awareness month. Wouldn't it be more effective if it was after the current alphabet pride month? That way the examples would be fresh in everyone's mind and it might do some good. Bob

I am proud to be an American. I hope there are some proud Americans left after this generation is gone.

PRIDE is the new religion............now PRIDE month is the holiest month of the year. 😥

And they crammed it on top of Juneteenth...........very surprised there has been no backlash for that😮

I am proud of what I have accomplished in life and in any positive impact I have made on the lives of other people.

I see no reason to be proud of that over which I have no control, which is what we are to believe these Americans are celebrating. For example, if you are born white, you had no control over that, so why would you be proud of it? If homosexuality is not a choice, you have nothing individually to be proud of, and I (as I do not have a prideful celebration of my heterosexuality) see no reason for me or anyone else to celebrate your homosexuality.

Fun fact: It does not diminish you as a person to be treated just like anyone else. Most of us prefer it that way.

Pride Month and the Principle of the Wart:

If being gay isn't a choice, and you're born that way (as they insist) then why try to make it glamorous to non-gays? It's a birth defect, plain and simple. We don't try to make cleft palates glamorous, nor do people who are born with one try to make the rest of us feel like we're missing something.

Being gay isn't anyone's fault, and it isn't something to be ashamed of, but so is having a wart. However, if you have a wart, you do not run down the street yelling at the top of your lungs "I HAVE A WART!"

The Armed Forces, removed their "Pride Month," memorabilia, after seeing/observing what happened to Busch & Target.

They also got serious negative feedback on the Navy, "Gay Pride" recruitment debacle.

    Good.

Our tax $$'s are better spent elswhere.

The problem with it all is that you're expected to participate in their pride and encourage it, while dismissing your pride.

    Because your pride diminishes theirs.

While I don't agree with how some folks live their lives, I will not opine for the way that they live it.
