thompson center recoil pad encore
I have two stocks just purchased and the pad is sticky kind of melting, is this typical???? sellers never mention it...

'some' pads do this with age (varies), the seller 'should' have mentioned it. the only 'fix' is to replace the pad.

Mike is correct. It happens with some pads.

several of my encores have had that happen , as Mike said replace the pad
