Yeah, I thought so too. The Rossi was really nice though, it had an action job (like butter), fold down rear sights and of course the Marble's tang sight BUT that 24" octagon barrel weighed a ton.

The Ruger is ..... well, a Ruger, weighs 300 lbs and as big a bread box but just what I wanted.

I got a call last night from the guy I traded with and I thought "UH OH what could be wrong with the rifle?" Well, the gentleman wanted to tell me that he had just gotten back from shooting the rifle and it was perfect, functioned flawlessly and was deadly accurate, everything I said it was and he was beyond pleased.

Never had anyone do that before, I guess he's maybe had a few bad deals. Anyway, it made me feel good that everyone got what they wanted and I made a new friend.

I love a trade like this where both people can feel good about what they got. Both really nice looking firearms!

What did you think the dollar value was? Just sold a Redhawk with a 9,5 inch barrel.

Both guns were in the $850-900 range ... give or take some.

    The first .44 mag I ever fired was a Blackhawk with a 10" barrel ....................... I wasn't prepared. 🙄

Love barter...there's no middleman taking a cut and no guvmint taking tax.

I own a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44mag. (7.5" barrel.) I suggested my Son buy a Rossi mdl 92, in .38Special/.357mag. (I did the bidding on GB for him, and threw in $100 on it.)

I've been wanting to trade him out of it, (although he should keep it to pair up with the .38Special/.357mag Revolver I also suggested for him. (Handled the bidding on GB and threw a $100 on it. ) They make a nice combo.

He is coming down in Oct. I told him to bring it down for Trade fodder. (I have a lot of things he wants.) He thinks he might get my 1943 Inland M1 Carbine. 🤔😉😂🤣 (As Oakie posted here recently, when talking to his Dad about the .256 mag . [?] ) He'll get it when I die. 😂
