A member of my family was told they have cancer....update
I have full confidence that we are all going to come through this with flying colors. Its a close person to me, so I'm somewhat floored by the news. Nobody really knows yet, because the test results just came in. I'm not letting this overcome me....not yet anyway. I'll update and inform yall as I can...for now with so little information and nobody knowing anything I'm just stewing in it for now. I swear, Cancer has done a number on every family I know in some way.

My wife and I are both cancer survivors. If they caught it early, there is a high percentage they will make it through just fine with the new techniques they have now.

Some words of wisdom from my late wife "Sunshine" on starting her second round of Chemo:
"Getting through this is like the old joke about "How do you eat an elephant?"
"One bite at a time."
Don't try to do it all at once, just do what's most important first.
Prayers for peace for you and yours and blessings of skill for med staff.

My best thoughts and prayers are with you all. We love you Kasey, and we all have your back ,and our shoulders to lean on. I'm also a cancer survivor. I had Prostate cancer at 38. Came back when I was 51 and I beat it again. With all the advancements in cancer research, This person has a good chance. Tell them to fight like hell, and never give up. Oakie

Cancer is a scary word when you first hear it; even more so if told you have cancer. I had Bladder cancer, and my first corse of action was to turn to the lord for help. The lord provided me with a urologist that understood better than most. He had had bladder cancer him self and was a Christian with a deep faith. They have come a long way in caring for those with cancer these days.
Good luck, everything will turn out fine.

We will hear more Wednesday, but nothing yet. Once we have that visit and can tell people more info we will let everyone know what is going on. Right now all we have is the initial test and biopsy results. So far they said things like "caught it early" which makes me VERY hopeful. Staying busy seems to be my plan of action for now. I am ready for Wednesday to get here already so we can find out something.

Update.....its my husband. We have a little info and a bit of a plan in play now, so I can share a little info. His side of the family has always been super private.....to the point of frustrating the crap out of me, where my side are the kind of folk that share every little bit of everything because the stories are too funny not to share. So, I won't go into too much detail.
They said the way they score things a 10 is bad and a 6 is almost too low to test positive....his score is a 7. So, we're early in the game. He could go with radiation or surgery....they push for surgery because they can search for more problems and the options for later treatment are better if we go that route. He has to loose some weight before they will do it though. So, we go back in 5 weeks to see how he has progressed

Knowing what is going on is a great stress reliever. I hope they get all of it and he comes back from it better than ever.
