All I can offer is use some discretion on your approach to this subject. Yes, it may be a despicable deed BUT best get all the facts before igniting your rocket.

Horrible, sad story. I'm sorry for their loss. I actually hope they don't find out who did it, as I know I too would want revenge and it wouldn't be pretty. Hopefully if they do find out who did this it can handled by the law, and the person(s) will be charged and not just a warning. So sad, so wrong.

That passes me off! I'd love to come up there and jerk some sob up by the hair stomp him into a puddle!

There's a place in the afterlife for people like that.

I have to keep telling myself and my kids ( they are actually grown ups ) that there is that place in the after life for those kind , and that revenge is not the way, but we feel like we have been attacked and the need to stand strong is great .

Ask God for help, and it will all work out.

I would look at neighbors. Did the dog bark at anyone that evening? Who would the dog have gone with?

Terrible thing to happen to any pet and so sad some one will stoop that low

Hope karma gets involved and repays them in full

Offer a reward on conviction enought their mom would turn them in

Amazing what money will do to get some one turned in

Agree I would let the law handle it

    After a personal discussion

No matter how big and bad you think you are, you just might jerk some sob bigger and badder than you.

The Bible warns about being cruel to animals

That is just awful. As has been said, there's a special place in hell for people that do such things.

A very unfortunate and sad thing to have happen.

Please don’t take this wrong. But at least you were able to find the body and able to put closure as to what happened. About seven years ago we let Cain out in the morning and that was the last we ever seen him. Looked for days but nothing. Still to this day we wonder what ever happened to him.

    Sorry for your loss.

That is the correct response Joe. I don't know if I could refrain from doing some bodily injury, but your advice is the best. Hopefully, they can find out who and have them prosecuted. Being a small rural area, they will find out sooner or later. Very sad for the family. Some people just suck the life right out of you.

No barking or anything outa the norm , we were all in the house playing cards and messing with the grandchildren . got a lil loud at times. the kids were running around the yard playing and there was this lil dog abd another of their dogs laying around the yard and cuttin up with thekids. after we left the daughter could not find the dog, she was everyones friend a very kind and gentle lil mutt of a dog. I guess thats what makes my blood boil. that lil dog had not one mean bone in her.

A good friend of mine, who was Curator of Herpetology at the Bronx Zoo, told me, "Some people just need killing." I agree, but we live in a society with a system of justice built upon laws and in the best cases impartiality. Revenge may be richly deserved, but revenge is not justice. Found on my property, there would have been summery justice. Otherwise I would give it my all to find them, and get the information to the proper authorities.

If that did not work, after a time, there might be a tragic accident. I'm done.

Jar, Do you know any kids in JHS or HS really well? They hear everything. Offer them a reward.

The authorities need to be involved. You have a sick or deranged person that lives very close.

The law is what counts, if your dog for what ever reason was threatening/ looking threatening or aggressive even in the most innocent manner to other pets while not in your yard then the vermin that shot her probably had legal rights to do so.

Shooting your dog was wrong in a moral sense, it was crewel, probably completely unwarranted and cold hearted. If they knew it was your dog then mega pox on them for the dastardly thing they did and not having the guts to tell you to your face. But, if not in your yard, under your control then in the eyes of the law they could destroy it in most states.

I am saddened by the loss of your friend and companion. It is truly heartbreaking to learn of its demise.

A quiet $100 bill to a high schooler who provides accurate info will "get'r done" as they say. Because it was 99% chance another teenager who did it.

What you do with that info is up to you.
