New Buyer and confused on how to get started.
Hello, I've never owned a gun before and have never used one, however, recent events have made me more keen on getting one for home defense. Like I've said I never owned one, so I'm wondering for those who do live in Wisconsin and know how the laws work, what do I need to do to lawfully order one off of this website and have everything verified? After I order one, does it get shipped to a dealer where I have to go through them or does it automatically get shipped to my address?

The cart is way before the horse my friend. Find a competent instructor with several different firearms that you can actually fire. The best place is probably going to be a firing range with rental guns and a good instructor. Learning to handle a firearm safely is no different than starting Yoga or learning to ride a motorcycle. Get some COMPETETENT instruction and go slow. Good luck to you and congratulations on realizing that you are ultimately responsible for your own safety.
