My wife wants the dogs ashes buried with her when she dies. I will grant that wish if I don't go first.

My stepmother wanted her ashes and Dad's ashes in the urn together, and also their dog's ashes. So I asked the funeral director if that was allowed. It was, so I made sure it happened.

I just mixed the ashes of our last 3 dogs with a bunch of fertilizer, and spread it on our acre yard. Now they're all together, outside, where they always liked to be.

I buried Jasmine, our Yorkie and a few years later Max, our Labrador out in a flower garden in the backyard that they both enjoyed

    ❤️🙏❤️

As I have probably already said, I don't know we keep repeating it.... The last dog we lost was Cedar. A Pit Hound cross like Ken's Buddy. One of the loves of my life❤️

Bella, Amber ,Buddy, Little Girl ,and Molly are all in the back yard in the places they loved to lay in the sun.

Wife has grave plots in her hometown ,she wants to be buried there . As for me ,I would rather stay here .

@Oakie : soon you'll be remembering all the funny things she did and all the times she did something amazing. It takes a while but you'll get there. And all the stories you'll tell about good ol' Isabella!

I really love dogs. They do so much for us and ask only to serve. Truly a perfect companion for man sent from the Almighty.

Never easy. Have 6 of them buried along or fence line. Just something about dogs.

Seems that I've left many of my departed furry friends buried in their favorite play spots in every home I've ever lived in. The last place was home for just over 30 years and there are 3 at rest there. Trudy the Bassett wonder dog, CoCo the Australian Sheppard, and Hunter, the Golden Retriever.

At our new place of 8 years there are already 2 of our beloved resting along side my backyard shooting range. A place they just loved to sit and watch me shoot, safely just across the fenced yard. Archie the Golden Retriever and Bessy the Basset hound.

Very nice that you have Isabella home again Oakie! My only cure for your sadness is time and a new K-9 friend as soon as you can! Although it may never be quite the same as before, another dog will quickly pick up those broken pieces of your heart and open up the new LOVE that it was made for!

Dogs become your Best Friend. They seem to know when you need a hug. They stay out of your way when you scold them, and come back, jump onto your lap and give you a wet kiss. Best buds.

There is something comforting about having their ashes around the house. My old buddy Dudley left us 7 years ago on June 30th. His ashes sit on a shelf along with a picture of him. I have only good memories of him and our 15 plus years together....

    Remember the good times....

Sunshine wanted her ashes scattered out back where we buried her 4 horses. We had 46 years together.

Her little fluffmutt is under the rosebush I planted in the front yard for both of them.

    My favorite quote about dogs:

"A dog's life is too short. Their only fault, really."
