Yesterday, I was looking at the work we have to do and stressing over nonsense like I always do....everyone that is around me for any period of time will tell you I make a mountain out of a mole hill constantly. So, stress is what fuels me most days. Its just how I am and I've grown to deal with it in my own way.
One of the things I do to talk myself down is look at as many good things as I can to out weigh whatever is stressing me out. Last night, when I finished the last task of the day and was trying to get the game plan going for today I was all worked up over the typical nonsense.....so I started looking at the big picture and it almost had me in tears. Good tears....humbling to a point I was stopped in my tracks.
I just don't think anyone could have predicted this being what it is for me and my team when this all started. Nothing happened overnight, it has been a long climb to be where we are now. The fact that I am able to give a decent paycheck each week to my team means more to me than anyone can imagine. That is what my focus is each week.....and they do an amazing job, so they deserve all of my respect and devotion.
When this started it was something I was doing to show my father a new route to take with sales.....he fought it so my hard headed nature had to prove I was right and I got my FFL just to show him. Eventually this grew to more than a few in my spare time and I had to stop working in the store if I wanted this to grow.
Now, we have people that call us from every part of the US.....we send cases out with return labels everywhere imaginable....I travel constantly to pick up collections. We've done everything along the way to make this a professional adventure.....an insurance policy that specifically covers the firearms....a sales contract so the owners of the collections have something in hand that states we are responsible for their sales and only to do what is agreed to as far as their sales, a reliable vehicle for transportation, alarms, cameras, 24/7 safe storage of items, equipment and supplies to deal with everything professionally.
I'm far from being like the huge outfits that do what we do.....there are warehouses out there with an army of people, some CEO that never touches any of the inventory collecting a massive paycheck for the collections they sell. Its not like that here...we each have a responsibility in the work to do and its exactly what a small business is supposed to be. We take the sales serious and want to present each item that we do the best way possible and we want the item to ship safely and the buyers to be happy with their purchase. A lot of hard work goes into this and I'm so proud of everyone here.
You guys that see this and say "I'm going to let them handle my collection" are amazing. Its just too much for me to take in. I appreciate you so much.....more than I can express.

When the day comes that I want my collection sold, it will go to you... assuming a) I can find them at the bottom of the lake, and b) that you're still doing this at that time. :)

You did a very Professional job, when I parted with 9 of my Firearms, meeting your team at Exit 11 (Glade Springs, VA) on Hwy 81 a few years back.
I was tempted to contact you to do the same this past trip on your way to Roanoke, VA. (Probably should have.) But, I was unsure of which ones I was willing to part with. (I had a lot going on, right at that point and was unwilling to give it a lot of thought.)

We've heard the horror stories of a deceased person's family selling their firearms to unscrupulous buyers. I think " If they'd only known about Locust Fork".

Yesterday I was one of those days where I couldn't stop my overthinking......but it was amazing once I made myself look at the good things around me. I'm what they call BLESSED for sure. Yes, I have a mountain of work, stressful situations and the idea that my people's livelihood depends on this operation is a burden I take seriously.....but the good parts outweigh all of that pressure.
I'm so glad I've gotten to be a part of the forums....surrounded by good people that I've grown to think of as family. Some of yall are better than family for sure!

as best I know i have not bought any thing from you and know never sold any thing thru you
they're a lot of good FFL's that post on here I would trust to handle my firearms
but will tip my hat for effort you put into making it work and driving cross country to please people your one the top at least in my mind
I would not hesitate to have the privilege of you selling any gun for me
we have never met but just all your post you have to be a good person and share the same frustrations as many
you do make the forum lets say interesting LOL

I've used Kasey on two different occasions, had good experiences, and will definitely use her again in the future. Her team is very good about answering questions, and they respond quickly.

I'm working on a list of firearms that I hope to get to Kasey in the near future. There is no other seller that I wish to deal with. And my family will do the same when I am unable to do it myself.

Kasey, you succeeded because you are you. Your personality , hard work and fairness, earned you what you are today. The one piece of advice I can give you, is something I learned a few years back. I too thrived on stress, I ate it up. I lived for it, until it gave me a heart attack. Just learn to not stress so much, and let your team do what they do. They have your back and won't let you down. Stressing over all the little stuff and the big stuff, won't change a thing.
