What A Glorious Day -
Weather is just about perfect. Low humidity, sunny, breezy. (About 70°.)
Retired less than a mo. ago, a few days before 4th of July. (My Jerk Boss, screwed me over one too many times.) I had nothing to lose. Everything paid for, $$ in the bank, nothing owed. Two weeks Vacation coming.
Went back in the day of work after my Immediate Supervisor in the Meat dept. had screwed me yet again, (I made the decision that night after going home, that I did not need this 💩 in my Life.) told the "Head Cheese," that I had decided today was my last day. (Was going to retire at the end of July anyway.)
Best decision I have made in a long time.
Going to bed early, sleeping in late. Nowhere I have to be. Just becoming fully relaxed. Things beginning to sink in. (In a good way.)
Turn 62 tomorrow, can/will start drawing SS. It is almost as much as I was making, working Full Time. (Going home Angry, stressed out, frustrated etc.)
Yes, I am officially Retired.

Congratulation to you Ken!! Sounds to me that you did the right thing. Heck! You can now go back to that supermarket you once worked for and cause a bit of havoc just for fun!

Have been back in a few times since quitting. My Jerk Boss looking totally stressed out, overwhelmed. (Busiest few weeks of the year, for the Meat dept.)
We we're already down one guy, (his replacement "Supervisor" Trainee, quite a few weeks ago.) We've been short staffed and getting hosed.
I just looked at him and nodded. "How Do You Like Me Now?" I guess he could not figure out, I had nothing to lose, by retiring one mo. early? 😁
Notorious Jerk, known for driving many good people to quite over the last bunch of years. Head Manager was unable/recalcitrant to do anything about it, after many people had complained/quit. (Myself included.)
They went in to 4th of July week, running the 4 man Meat dept., with two people. "How Do You Like Me Now?"

The "Final Straw," was when the Head Store Manager left the Meat Dept, laughing and Joking on his way home after my relaying to him how screwed I was, and how the Meat Dept manager had left early, leaving me the entire Truck/Transfer as well as the extremely busy day. (Again.)
The Head Store Manager walked up to me the next day at 2pm, on his way in,(after already hearing I was planning/had decided I was going to Quit) With an overly big smile on his face, like it was all a Big Joke. I asked him, right off the bat, "Is There Something Funny, I Should Know About?" 🤔
Then, dropped the Bomb on him and walked out.

We had that weather yesterday here in Middle Tennessee. Great day to just enjoy being alive - layin' around like an old blue tick hound.
