RIP Bart Skelton

I read in a couple of gun magazines that Bart Skelton, gun writer, LEO, and son of "Skeeter" Skelton, passed away at the age of 62. I enjoyed his occasional magazine articles and will miss 'em.

  I just read that today. I admired him and his father. What did he die from?

  He lived in Deming, NM, as did his father. NM State Tooper then Border Patrol. Wrote a book, "Down on the Border." Worth the read. He was 69 I believe, still to young.

  I always like to read Skeeter Skelton's work, but never read Bart much. Seems that he was too young to die.

  He was 69? I loved reading Skeeter's articles in Shooting times back in the 70's.

  Bart Skeltons obituary say's he was 62 born June 6,1960 and passed away April 25, 2023.

  So, he was 62.98 or so.

  I met Skeeter once or twice, never Bart. Ditto with reading their works; all Skeeter.

  Looks like 62 is correct. I have seen 63 as well, and I got the 69 from other gun writers, and we know how reliable they are.
