So I heard this pop, and then the power went out.....
Just got my GMG pellet grill up to temperature last night, put on 8 pork chops, and then "pop" down by the pellet hopper. No power to the grill, and realized that I had tripped the breaker. Went to reset the breaker, and it wouldn't reset, as long as the grill was still plugged in. Don't have time to mess with it today, and am leaving on a camping trip tomorrow. Anyone have any experience with these things? Wondering if I can replace a motherboard, or something? Not sure if parts can even be obtained for them. They sure have gotten spendy in the last few years.....

It's probably 7-8 years old, and gets used 2-4 times per week, all year long. Never noticed any vermin sign around the house, I try to stay on top of that.

Next I would look at the heating element. Sounds like a dead short in the line to heating element.

It could actually be the heating element itself. I've had them make that "pop" and literally burn in two with one side sagging to ground/short on the appliance. I also had an electric stove top element blow and the arc put a hole in the bottom of a copper clad sauce pan. Bob
