After the photo session I ushered this guy off the road. Not a busy road, he probably wouldn't have been run over. 20 inches long, very slender snake.

  Nope, Allen lives i Appalachia, not the plains. There are similarities among congeners, so locality matters.

  All this time I thought it was a gravel private road serpent... so many variations... good thing He dog is around to set us all straight....
