Triple majors in Psych, Soc, and Anthro, with minors in Communication and Field Biology. I worked in the Psych field for a while and concluded my hobby of keeping reptiles was more fun. I have kept reptiles for over 60 years, and went to work for the St. Louis zoo as a reptile keeper. After hitting the top keeper level I took a job in NM. I managed zoo reptile collections for almost 40 years. I also have background in entomology and managed terrestrial invertebrate collections as well. There was also a couple of years as acting Curator of Birds, so the background is varied. One is travel, another hobby is birding,so we either travel to look at birds, or travel to look at art and architecture and throw in a day or two of birding when possible. We have birded in several countries, most often in Costa Rica, but also Cuba, Australia, Israel, Armenia, Italy, England. Next up, Trinidad and Tobago.

Sometimes a little patience is necessary, but there are a couple or 4 pretty good folks here too.😈 It turns out I had an academic councilor, who did not I would be unemployable in those fields with out a Ph.D. I did work in a Psych hospital, then did library research for one of the doctors, while I was still in school.

He Dog reminds me of those old E. F. Hutton commercials when a reptile subject or any other zoological question comes up around here.
When he speaks......EVERYBODY listens!! 😊 He not only knows a lot that he's willing to share but is also a darn good guy!!

There are plenty of guys here with more education, better traveled, and generally more knowledgeable. But you are right, I am probably the goodest guy here. I am hoping to figure out just what I am good at.
