These are the 22 Hornet bullets I reload. I had a heck of a time learning how to reload them, but Rocky Raab got me straightened out, with what I was doing wrong. I was crushing my cases, as I was using too much lube. Once I got the hang of it, I got really good at reloading the Hornet. These are the V-max 40 grain bullets, and do s heck of a job on small game. Oakie

Nice!
My father in law gave me the lowdown on reloading the Hornet. He's been reloading for decades and yet we still dinged a few cases. Hornet is really thin brass and you need to be kinda easy with the press.
The next 200 rounds will be 40 grain. The 50 grain was an experiment to see how heavy my Ruger can handle. 50 might actually be too heavy by a bit so I'm gonna dial it back.
I'll look for those V-max bullets.

I have the same gun. If you can't find any Vmax 40 grains, let me know.

Are either of you guys finding new stock anywhere?

Not really. And when it’s available online, it’s 1.50 or more per round before shipping and hazmat.
I was lucky a couple years ago to get 500 rounds at 85¢ per round delivered. Haven’t seen that deal since. Not even close.

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing too. I emailed Remington earlier this year to see if they were going to make a run, (my favorite round), and the response was yes, but after checking their website for availability for several months, nothing.
The price on their website is ridiculous, so wouldn't buy from them anyway, but was hoping they would possibly saturate the market.
Is the PPU stuff any good?

That’s what I’ve been using. I like it. No misfires, no flyers, no issues at all. And its consistent.

PPU has been great out of my Hornet. I mostly reload for it, but have used the PPU when in a jam or find it cheap. I just shoot it off and then use the cases to reload.
