A-5,16 gauge barrel interchange

Greetings,Mark here; I’m having a great deal of difficulty obtaining info regarding whether I can use an early 65mm,2 9/16 barrel on my 1958 A-5,16 gauge. Will lengthening the chamber be sufficient or is the barrel extension different as well? Also there are different in width barrel rings/magazine tube. Does that matter?? Thanks;M
