I can't think of a single "gotta have" snack food. I don't seem to have a sweet tooth and almost never order dessert.

Now, to be totally honest, I do LIKE a lot of things that I'd pig out on if they are in front of me; I just don't crave them. Leftover Halloween candy sometimes lasts in my closet until the following September. (Note to self: look in there today.)

Wife and I split a huckleberry shake yesterday because they're in season here. Fabulous - but that'll do me for a long time.

Any kind of peanuts/nuts. (Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds the best) White Cheddar Popcorn, Snickers, Almond Joy, Tater Chips.

I like those Watermelon Gumie Rings sold at gas stations:

They are not worth the price you pay for them though.

Hydrox chocolate sandwich cookies....not Oreos, Hydrox. Hydrox came on the market in 1909, three years before Oreos. Sadly I don't see them much around here in upstate New York on the Vermont border. So I guess I'm not addicted anymore๐Ÿ˜ฎ...

Oh man, they sell those down here at out Shop Rite. I absolutely hate those thing. I call them, fake Oreos. LOL. My dad loves them though. But then again, he is a cheap skate. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿคฃ. Some people love them and some hate them. It's kind of like Coke vs. Pepsi.

Pecan Sandies go best with coffee. My grandmother would only buy Pecan Sandies and she would make me a small cup of coffee, to dunk them in. That is my favorite memory of her. My grandmother basically raised me and my sisters, because my mom and dad worked all the time at their restaurant and gun store. Now you got me tearing up. I miss my nana so much. I wish she could have lived forever. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ. Honestly though, you I'm glad you gave me that moment in time, to think about her today. โ˜บ๏ธ Wish you could have met her. She was the greatest, sweetest person to ever walk this earth. Oakie

Yeah......baby!!๐Ÿ‘ Hydrox, for me since circa 1955, has always beaten oreos any day of the week.......and twice on Sundays.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Also have to add Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip and Pecan Sandie cookies.......as they have always been great, when dunked in hot tea.๐Ÿ˜‹

Lastly........what is this stuff called "Pepsi" ????๐Ÿ™„ Back in the day, it was either Dr Pepper, a Coke, or Mountain Dew(with a Ding Dong).......or you went without. But a Grape NeeHi(sp) would do, in a pinch.

Note.......it was always tough, getting the Lance salted peanuts into and out of the Dr Pepper and Coke bottles.๐Ÿฅด

    PIZZA !!!

I love Italian based foods in general, but thin crust Pizza is by far my favorite.

I've come up with a great, low carb pizza recipe that is sooooo good!

    I use:

    1. Pre-heat the oven with Pizza stone on the rack to 400 degrees.
    2. Place a 14 inch x 14 inch piece of parchment paper on a baking or pizza pan.
    3. Then, add one 12 inch Grande Burrito shell for the crust.
    4. Spray one side of the burrito shell with Olive Oil and flip over onto a piece of parchment paper (for ease of handling).
      1. You can pierce the burrito shell with a fork in several places if you like before flipping over.
    5. Add two or three tablespoons of Italian Spaghetti sauce to the dry side and spread evenly
      1. (less is better than more, trust me on this...).
    6. Douse the sauce with Italian seasonings to taste.
    7. I usually douse mine with some granulated onion and garlic at this stage.
    8. Add a base of Mozzarella shredded cheese.
    9. Add a good dosing of sausage / pepperoni / ham shreds / or other meat (or all meats ๐Ÿ˜‹).
    10. Add some pepper and onion slices, mushrooms chunks, roasted garlic, or other veggies.
    11. Some more Mozzarella to top it off
      1. At this stage it's gonna be heaping, so push it down as best as you can.
    12. Slip it from the pan to the pizza stone using the parchment paper as a mode of transfer, leaving the parchment paper under the burrito shell.
    13. Cook for 8 to 8-1/2 minutes, longer if you've over-heaped like I normally do, just watch the burrito shell for burning or getting way too "crispy".
    14. Remove the whole thing again using the parchment paper as a means to transfer.
    15. Slice with a round pizza slicer and ENJOY.

For my ingredients I use, it works out to be about the same calories of a 12 inch pepperoni thin crust from Domino's but only 80g carbs for one entire pizza. I use low carb sauce and try hard not overdo the cheese and meats... but it happens!

Just had my annual check up at the VA clinic. Seems my A1C was right at the top number (without going over) for type 2. My intake of my favored junk foods has to end now or I will have to give up BEER!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜ซ

I will now just say that my favorite junk food is BEER!
