The Cleveland Indians
I couldn't find the thread about the Redskins... But thought this was pretty interesting ๐คโบ๏ธ
Native American group promising Anheuser Busch-style boycott of Commanders backs Cleveland Guardians name change
The group's petition says that 'honoring' the baseball team's original name 'can be a symbol of unity and respect.'

The team owner(s) should just stick with the change they made and move on. It might keep the next group of liberal idiots from making demands on other teams

There must be liberal heads blowing up all over the place!
Turns out they offended the very folks they thought they were helping. Maybe the "woke" self important dummies should have asked before sticking their nose in something that didn't concern them. The writers of the petition seem to have had enough of today's cancel culture and more power too them. Bob
I posted the Redskins link a couple of days ago. Last I heard their petition had over 100,000 signatures. I hope this backlash to some of the "woke" ideas spreads to other subjects that have been corrupted lately. Bob

Oh heck yea, everybody I played against ๐. I was well known for hitting people and just as well known for being very hittable ๐. I can see the picture posted now and know exactly what the sign he's giving is, it would make many on here blush ๐. Baseball, America's favorite sport, gotta love it...๐๏ธ

Are you familiar with the term " chin music"? I had a young man that I coaced who would throw his first pitch behind the batter. The rest of his innings he could throw anything he wanted .

Cleveland. There were some really badass Indians in Ohio, the Shawnee. Fierce warriors.
They gave frontiersmen like Daniel Boone and Simon Kenton all they could handle.

Very familiar but I never went for the head area, too unsportsman like plus I wasn't too keen on the idea of a bat flying back at me ๐ฒ but the number on the back of the uniform or the back pocket area was fair game and it pretty well guaranteed a strikeout on the next batter faced ๐. We didn't have coaches, we had "coaxers" who were very good at coaxing players.

How can a team that traded Rocky Colavito for Harvey Kuenn be taken seriously on anything?

Everything looks BIG in them!
