"how do we fight for the America we believe in, the one that is founded on self reliance rather than self interest?"

If the kangaroo courts convict and sentence President Trump, then you will VERY soon find the answer to that question!

I'm not sure how a conviction of Trump turns the country into a single party system. I guess that assumes a few things at this point a) that he is the eventual nominee and b) that all the republicans in the party decide to disband. I don't see either of those as a certainty. Furthermore, given that a) isn't a certainty, it seems equally as likely that a DeSantis or some other candidate could pound Biden into the ground. And that is why I think they are slowly moving to displace the old pants wetter. And I think you will see someone like Grabin' Newsome rise to replace him.

As Trump has not been charged with Insurrection, I really don't see how this applies.

With all due respect to the former Arkansas governor, of course.

I really hope the GOP comes to its senses and nominates someone other than Trump, but were he to be the nominee, there is nothing in the 14th Amendment and his current charging that keep him out of the office.

14th does not apply to the president. READ IT. Tom Fitton summed it up nicely when he said the founders did not forget to write "President" in the qualifying preamble.

You may be correct. ‘Any office, civil or military under the United States’ probably includes the President unless one considers the Presidency to be over the United States.
