Aluminum Rims
The road salts and whatever have really eaten into my Toyota PU rims. There are places that for maybe $225 per rim will "rejuvenate" them! Anyone had this done? I'm somewhat leary?

You are about 25 bucks a corner for new rims depending on your taste. Sounds like a crap shoot having them refurbished.
We just replaced the rims on my wife's charger for 1k.

Tried it (albeit it was only $100 for one rim) and within a year the “rejuvenated” rim started to have blotchy discoloration…now looks worse than the other three. I won’t do it again…buy new.

I would just spray paint them flat black and be done with it. When it starts coming off....hit it again. Easy, and a $5 can will last you a while.
Putting money into rims (that ain't bent) is like throwing your money directly in the trash can.

Once cleaned/polished......spray with a clear wheel coating from any number of auto parts stores.
Years ago I repaired a tiny rash on one of my $650 EACH wheels, and resprayed.
20 years on........still good. Now.....if I can only keep the brake dust off.😖

I would look for set of take off rimz on C-List of FB Marketplace.
I did this and got a set of Ford Raptor Wheels for my F150. I also have a set of bronze Method wheels for my Jeep Wrangler sitting in my shed. My next tire change on the Jeep will be to go to 35 inch tires on those wheels.
Lastly there is a seller on both Amazon and ebey that sells steel wheels cheap. I had a set of 4 for about $125 each for my 4Runner. I changed my mind and sold them to a friend.

Wifey cracked a rim on her Audi. I ask one of the parts guys at the dealership for the name of the distributor they got OEM replacement rims from. The distributor was local so I ordered a new one from there.

We clean our aluminum wheels with acid wash. They use this on 18 wheelers. The rims on our vehicles and cycles, look brand new. Just wear gloves when doing this, or your fingers will feel like someone hit them with a hammer. I think I paid around 20 bucks for a gallon. I use a steel bucket and a stiff brush, then rinse with water. You can find this stuff at any truck store. I get mine from a place called Hale Trailers. They make aluminum trailers there. If you can't find any, I can probably ship you some. You will be amazed at how fast your rims will look like new. About 30 seconds and then rinse.

Mr. P- Why in the world would I like to get away from -30 degree winters, an average snow fall of 5+ feet & a democratic governor? I guess the cheese & locally brewed beers are the answer😫

Get a can of rustoleum HI-Heat FLAT BLACK rattle can spray paint, maybe two cans. It sticks good to most anything.
Lay on one light coat while still on the black wall tires and do it again when it fades and drive on until you go with Brandon and go electric. Can you just imagine what the All aluminum Ford trucks are going to look like in few years of salt. I would think they will then start thinking about hard body plastic that is not made from fossil fuel. (Ford has bright ideas)
