Yupp, one of my favorites too. Probably couldn't be made today - Burt playing a Mexican ain't exactly politically correct in today's easily offended "woke" times. Bob

1 hr, 40 minute movie. Not too long, not too short.

A Shooter's movie. After the long range scene, when Bob Valdez is captured, Sagundo says, "Those shot's were 700-800 yards." Valdez replies "more like a Thousand."

(Falling block Sharps.) "Custom Loads. My own."

Sagundo - "How many people you figure you killed?" Valdez - "11."

Sagundo - "You Count?" Valdez - "You Better."

    Just iconic. - "$100 dollars." 😏

Another great movie that couldn't be made today.

Trivia: Mongo ( Alex Karras ) from blazing saddles was married in real life to Susan Clark that co-starred in Valdez is Coming. Bob

    "Valdez Is Coming."

Burt Lancaster, Susan Clark, & Jon Cypher.

    Just Classic.

On now. (One I can watch over and over.)

After getting cut free from the Cross he was tied to, (early in the movie) He comes back for retribution.

Coming across an outlier/guard, Valdez tells him to go tell them "Valdez Is Coming."

After circling around and attempting to ambush Valdez, he is shot out of his saddle by a double barrel shotgun. "What do you have in that thing?" Valdez - "Something for Rabbits."

    Just Classic.

Many great scenes/lines in this movie. (One of my favorites.)

    *Like "Chato's Land."

It's been a long time since I had watched the movie many years I had forgot all about it

So last night I searched for it on one of theovie apps and watched it again

I remember a little of it but really like watching it for the first time

A lot of killing and violince just to get a hundred dollars and revenge

    over all a good movie

    and watched it again

Sadly, there are many of Mel Brooks movies that could not be made today because of the politically correct crowd

Back to the talk Sagundo and Valdez were having towards the end of the movie, (after the long range scene) Sagundo asks (when talking about the thousand yard shots) "You hunt Buffalo?" Valdez "Apache." Sagundo "I knew it. When?" Valdez "Back before I knew better."

After Jon Cypher catches up to them with his posse, Sagundo prevents others from killing Valdez. "Not my Woman." (Back and forth.) Sagundo "I hired them, I fire them." Forcing the Rich Man to face Valdez alone in order to kill him.

Valdez looks at him unmoving and says "I have an idea. You have a gun. You kill me." The Rich man, alone, backs down prompting Valdez to demand again "$100 dollars." What he wanted, from the very beginning of the movie. Masterful story telling and action.

My ONLY complaint was that they could have come up with a beter name than "Bob" for Valdez.

I mean really a tough guy like that needs a tough guy name. Bob is so ................ordinary.

If they wewre so intent on a Bob theme why not Roberto.

I have always thought that "The Ballad of Cable Hogue" was the best "end of the Old West as they knew it" movie.

"What do you have in that thing?" Valdez - "Something for Rabbits."

Yupper, that one's got a bit of chuckle factor.
