It's supposed to be really cloudy tonight where I am. Hoping that the weather clears, though. I love watching the night sky.

Being an early riser, will be out on the deck in my lounge chair Sunday AM for the intergalactic festivities!
Thanks Steve for the heads up!

Thanks
Seems just about every time such events like this or a chance to see the northern lights we get cloud cover or rain
But always at least we try and watch
So much to learn and see and so little time
Such events I can understand how eons ago peope came up with wild stories of different entities causing events for different reasons

Supposed to be best here in the Blue Ridge in the hour before dawn. Usually, at that time we have river fog that obscures the sky.

Had a flight from Boston to Richmond VA. Nite of the peak of the Perseids. Wheels up at 11:50 PM, Sitting on left side of the aircraft- empty row, slid over to the window. EXCELLENT view from 30,000 ft, no moon. Quite a show. Above the clouds.

My son is going to call and wake me up at 3am to see them tonight. He said they were great last night.
