I always liked The Band, they have some great songs
And you mentioned Levon Helm he was very cool in that movie The Shooter

Levon had no use for Jamie Robbie. Most of the songs were written by Rick Danko and Rick Manuel with some by Levon Helm. Robbie handled the business and copyrighted the music in his name. Guess who made the money from that. Levon may be waiting after all.
That leaves Garth Hudson as the only surviving member of The Band.
