I have now lived through, and seen things in America I never would have thought possible. The future scares me, worries me angers, and saddens me. I spend a lot of time shaking my head side to side.

I'm right there with you. I've stopped watching the news, stopped just about every online news outlet, and feel like the America I knew is a thing of the past.

There is no longer cash bail in Illinois now so I’m waiting to see how long it takes for Illinois to become like Washington DC. This is what happens when you champion the idea that we don’t need the police.

This idea of the mayor of DC saying they need the national guard to enforce the law shows just how clueless they are. The police enforce the law, the military enforces national policy when all negotiations brake down. The idea that you would use the military to enforce the law is dangerous. Kent State University is an example.

How did defunding the police work out for you? Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Bingo, Kent State absolutely. Look what happened to innocent citizens after Katrina, Boston Marathon Bombing, Waco, Ruby Ridge, BLM out in Nevada, Lavoy Finnicum out in Oregon,Bonus riots with Gen Mac, Wounded Knee and others. Eventually bringing in the Guard in these cities where politican's have failed to improve the lot of citizens will lead to confiscation of firearms. It all boils down to "Abuse of Power" in the end. Most of these cities with problems are run by Democrats. Just my two cents. ------------------Ray

One can make the argument that government has been probing just how far they can push before there's pushback.

They say that if you slowly warm the water, you can boil a frog without it ever noticing it's impending demise.

We're in the initial uphill climb on the rollercoaster, getting ready to shoot down the incline. How steep and how far is unknown.

We're ALL in it, for what may prove to be a wild ride.

    Buckle up.

Conceivably things could get better. The jails will have more room for violent offenders now.

The end game here is a national police force.
