Am I the only one of us GB'ers who cheered when the womens soccer team got sent home???
I said hell yes!! Did multiple fist pumps. Said things like "You kneeling disrespectful to your country jerks got just what you deserve!!!!"
It was nice to see the team get to slink home.
Maybe next time they will stand at attention, hand over their hearts and sing the words to their national anthem.
I think it is great they are coming home disgraced!!
But that's my opinion!! What say you??

Only heard about it from posters who described the failure. The best part is that it was the neon lesbo America hater who lost it for the team.

I was a bit ambivalent about the outcome. I like to see the U.S. do well in international competitions so was a bit disappointed. On the other hand, since this team has little respect or appreciation for their own country I was a bit elated that they failed. Conflicting emotions are sooo CONFUSING! Maybe if I have a beer I'll get over it. Bob

if we have to lose or withdraw from a sport, a women’s one or soccer is best. But it’s a shame our team has no respect or pride.

lI am not in favor of the disrespect, but in all honesty, I watched the replays several times and did not see anyone kneeling, and half the girls had a hand on their hearts? What did I miss?

I cheered too, especially since the loss fell squarely on the shoulders of Rapinoe. Spotlight on the woke hero...all eyes waiting...FAIL!!!!!
So glad it was her that blew it.

Rapinhoe is a narcissistic gal who openly proclaims her dislike for America. You didn't see any kneeling, because she is 38 and washed up, and she is not on the starting team so she is not at midfield when the national anthem is played.
Rapinhoe didn't even play during the regular game. She played in overtime and her play was mediocre at best. She was selected to take the one, of five penalty kicks. She missed her kick and we lost. Had America-hating Rapinhoe made the penalty kick the US would have won.
Her career is finished and she leaves the biggest stage in women's sports a chump and a loser.

All of the above. The woman bit the country that fed her from the day she was born. Gave her everything: a game to play for money, a platform of free speech, the freedom to live an openly unconventional lifestyle. She paid America back with hatred and contempt.
Seeing the loss hang around her neck like an albatross is the perfect "you receive on what you give" moment. Long may it last for her.

He Dog, I don't care who anyone has sex with (Except for children) but when the athletes who are representing our great country are busy telling us in words and actions that they hate this country, screw 'em.
If they don't respect our country, they don't respect their fellow countrymen. Which means they don't respect you or me or anyone else. I'm not going to root for people giving me the finger by their actions.
