308 - Twist rate 1:11, bullet weight 130 or 150?

    Every rifle is different the Tikka I had liked 165 and 180 bullets better than the 150's the 165 grain Fusion was its favorite.

    I think they are worth trying. Barnes, being solid copper, and less dense than lead will be longer than a traditional 130 grain bullet.

    I tried several Brands/Loads in .308 in my Savage 16. I finally settled on Remington 150 Gr. Corelokt. They were by far the most accurate load I tried.. Every gun is different....

    @ 250 yards, anything other than a FMJ or full on varmint bullet will work fine on deer. 150 Rem corelokt is as good as it gets at that range. Nosler 150 BT makes a bigger hole at the expense of meat loss.

    I tried a couple flavors of Superformance w/o satisfactory results. Decided if you need 'superformance', you need a bigger cartridge.
