Springfield 1903 National Match rifle
I have some questions about Springfield 1903 National Match rifles. The serial number of the rifle in question is 1282749 . I believe it was made in 1927. It has the polished bolt with the electro penned matching serial number on the bolt. It has a Redfield target front sight, tall with replaceable inserts and the base for a Lyman 48S peep in the rear. It has issues, the receiver has been drilled for scope mounts, the bolt has been shaved to clear the scope and the stock which looks correct has been checkered at the wrist and forearm. I'll probably be selling it on GB in a few weeks starting at a penny. What features do I need to take pictures of for the auction. I don't know much about these rifles so I'd appreciate any advice.

DEFINETLY TAKE CLOSE-UPS OF THE ALTERED / NON-STANDARD PARTS. Then, the more pictures the better. Close-ups of any markings. Enough close pictures to show the overall condition well. Good luck.

I seen one 1903 match once and the whole inside of the receiver was polished, even the rails, apparently by an armorer. It would have taken a lot of effort I would think to have done it so precise on the piece I seen.
