We had our first warning about a week ago here in northern lower Michigan. Dodged the cold bullet on that one as it only went down to 36 that night. Tonight it is calling for a low of 38.

Depending upon the Dew Point, I have seen frost form with temp's as high as 39 degrees. I sure do hope we avoid frost damage until we at least get to October. Just for the sake of our farm neighbors!

I suppose if it misbehaves after the warning you'll suspend its account.

No frost here yet, but the 14ers are now snowed in. I'll try to get a picture.

Nope, didn't happen. Ever know the weatherman to be right first time? Tonight's forecast he said something like "by the end of the week", LOL. Bound to get it right.

Figgers. If you and I had been wrong as often as the weatherman is allowed to be we would have never stayed employed!

Every year since I've lived here in Utah, we've had the first major cold front come through within a week either side of October 1. This year, it was yesterday. And also every year, I hear locals claim "It's never been like this before!" Real memory issues about weather, apparently.

Some high peaks got a dusting of snow, there's a freeze warning out for tonight, and we got just about one inch of rain overnight - which isn't much for some of you, but it's huge for us.

Frost on the roof yesterday morning, and snow in the mountains above 5000'. Time to wipe down the .410 Wingmaster, and head for the hills. My rotisserie is begging for a couple grouse.

49 degrees out now. Cloudy and rainy yesterday and today. The rain on the deck railing is slushy.

Surprised it took this long. I see that Beartooth pass is closed until further notice due to snow.
