I admit I have watched a lot of them

I decided after watching I wanted to be rich own and rule over countless acres of a huge ranch

they get to do what ever they want have any one beat up or killed they don't like get away with every possible crime imaginable you even , buy bribe politicians

    Oh wait 😲

just dawned on me you know the life style of the rich and famous like the klintons ) so I guess I really don't need the ranch part. just the rich part

I enjoy the series when I can catch it. Watched a marathon a few weekends ago and got caught up.

I learned a couple weeks ago that the Actor (sorry I do not know his name) that play's "Rip," the younger, bearded Ranch Forerman, that was taken is as a kid, is a HUGE Military advocate (along the lines of Gary Sinese.)

Made me like it/him even more.

If one knew nothing going into it you'd wind up thinking that you had to have one cowboy for every 3 or 4 head of cattle to get 'em moved anywhere. I had to give up on the series, it's just so bogus it isn't even remotely entertaining.

Like most all TV shows and movies

No way to try and compare to real life just entrainment

I just base it on that and the spin offs of different generations more a soap opera like posted by he dog pointed out

think of it i as fun to watch really no different than the old western shows where the sheriff or good guy was shot every third show or so But left a trail of dead

Just way more profanity and nudity than the old shows could have gotten away with

We enjoyed it. Really liked 1883 and 1923. And even Tulsa King which isn’t about the Duttons but it’s made by the same creator.

I figure most guys rolled with a crazy one at least once in life. It’s good for you as long as it doesn’t get ya killed.

Yours is one of the best. You haven't watched it. You're one of the lucky ones.

Been on the fence because of old Kevin. Then they had like what 3 or 4 spin offs? It's turning in to "Walking Dead" of whatever that show is. I saw a clip on youtube hicks VS bikers and the tourists trespassing. Seemed okay but again Kevin. Maybe I'll wait for the box set?

Yeah, those shows are really something when one knows the business.

Taylor Sheridan, the same man who wrote 1883 and 1923 also wrote the movie Sicario, which I just watched last night. Excellent movie! 1883 was also an excellent series. The husband and wife country singers played their parts well but I can not remember their names, sorry.

Not a tv person at all, but I did watch all the episodes of Yellowstone. I enjoyed some of it and others were somewhat redundant. I don't think my heart would outlast Beth for a weekend. !!!

Taylor Sheridans best work is a movie called "Wind River", one of the best movies ever made.

    Wind River (film) - Wikipedia
Wind River is a 2017 neo-Western crime film written and directed by Taylor Sheridan. The film stars Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen as a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tracker and an FBI agent, respectively, who try to solve a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. Gil Birmingham, Jon Bernthal, and Graham Greene also star.

As for "Beth" on The View, Kelly C Reilly would fit in fine on there, she's an English actress living in New York City, pretty sure she's a hard-core liberal in real life.

I just can't get into Yellowstone. Reminds me of the soap opera Dallas.

I did like 1883 even though McGraw and Hill are both anti-gun liberals.

That's their opinion. I don't agree with their point of view, but I do agree with the 1st amendment allowing them to say stupid things.

I also think that the show Yellowstone had some good moments but became too silly and predictable to be much fun.

I liked the show and agree it is a soap opera for sure

But like a lot of long running TV series they run out of ideas and lose the wow factor

When I see a TV show or movie about PEOPLE, I expect the actors to behave in a manner consistent with PEOPLE.

Yellowstone is just a remake of the Sopranos but in boots and hats. Crap.

I watched 1883 until Mom gave Daughter some SAGE (green font) advice: "Your heart will tell you what to do. Follow your heart." (or words to that effect) Wrong thing to tell an idiot 17-year-old girl. A few minutes later Mom catches Daughter in flagrante delicto with some idiot cowboy, and got upset about it.

Two of my favorite character actors, Sam Elliot and Barry Corbin should be ashamed of their participation in these two pantloads.

You'd better avoid 1923, then. It's the worst of the lot.

Very few tv shows or movies depict real life. it's entertainment, If you are looking for a documentary, check the description...
