Strange computer occurrence
Came in the room to get on puter and check on you all. Moved the mouse to bring monitor out of sleep. When the monitor came on it was hyper flashing of changing very faint colors, red, blue, green, ect. It was bizarre. I turned off the monitor and back on, made no difference. I looked at the desk top and saw there was no 'tin can' icon lit up next to the power button. I pushed the power button to shut down the puter but it wouldn't turn off. I then pushed and held the power button several seconds and it shut off. Waited a couple minutes turned puter back on, it re-started and here I am.
What caused that? Is my puter broke or am I just receiving e-mails from Hunter?? What gives?

Can't be, I'm an internet moderator. I have the control panel with labeled buttons.

If you're using Windows, that's your problem.

Sounds like your monitor was doing an impression of Mitch the Glitch McConnell.
Either that or you've ben assimilated by some rogue forum. 50-50 either way.

I suspect that it may be something to do with the incoming power fluctuations. I have seen my puter do the same thing.

Windows. Really.
It sounds like there was a disconnect between the screensaver/sleep setting and the video controller. But I'm no expert.

Windows contains an urgency detector. The more you need your computer right now, the faster Windows shuts itself down and the longer it stays that way.
