By my reckoning, I lost a little over 2 pounds all at once! A liter of water weighs 2.2 pounds!

Interesting, usually seromas are a result of a past surgery. Wish you well David.

I've never heard of such a thing. Do they know what caused 'em, David?

From Google: Seroma is the abnormal accumulation of serous fluid in a dead space containing plasma and lymphatic fluid. It is a common postoperative complication.

Like the old full service gas stations: check the oil and fill it with gas.

    Ok....maybe just check the oil.

    Glad you're doing better, @nunn

Glad you are getting it resolved, David. What gave you indicators that there was a problem??? Pain in the stomach?? Doesn't sound fun at all. Hope you heal soon. Oak

I knew something was there after my hernia repair because the mesh was not flat but shaped like a bowl. Surgeon said it would go away. It didn't.

Later, I had a CT scan of my thorax, part of the big physical and it showed up. Doctor was more concerned than I was.

Another scan showed the seroma growing larger, so I was convinced to deal with it.

It did not hurt. I felt no pressure, because it developed slowly. After they were drained, I could tell a difference in the way it felt.

It's all good. I figured out a way to keep the drain bulbs from dangling, so they don't annoy me when I walk now.
