My kids have never stepped foot in a public school classroom.

I’m surprised they didn’t threaten to charge him with a hate crime. Just seems there is no end to stupid anymore when it comes to those in charge of public education.

Consider who's in charge and who is driving the decisions.

The older administrators are hanging on until their pensions kick in. No rocking the boat from them! And the woke mommies are driving these rulings and judgements because that's what they've been programmed to do.

I put my now 24 year old son in a private Christian school starting in 6th grade. When Uri was around 20 he told me the two things I did for him that were the most important to his future were putting him in the private Christian school I put him in.

The other important thing I did for him was teach him to work. From the time Uri turned 14 he could outwork most men.

Fifty years ago that would have been real impressive. Ten years ago not so much. It is a sad state of affairs that the average man isn't much of a worker anymore.

Both of my sons attended a private Christian School K-8. They received a far better education there and excelled through High School and College. Discussing how to get the granddaughters educated. We have a couple years to work that out..

I don't have the misfortune to live in a metro(ish) area with all the looney bin liberals. Not all schools are like the one described although the trend seems headed that direction.

The important item to remember is: School is for providing the opportunity to learn the various things children need to know later. Parenting provides children with the moral guidance and motivation to use the knowledge properly.

Most school boards are elected positions. Do complaining parents vote for/against board candidates who don't meet their expectations? Do parents 'call out' questionable policies(and not AFTER their kid is in trouble)? Do those parents weigh the options of simply moving to a more acceptable area where school policies closer match expectations?

My wife and I (the nuclear family) put three kids through a private Christian school. It was financially difficult. When all three were enrolled, it was about another house payment. It was also the best money I ever spent.

The public school craziness is just beginning here in the midwest. It is so past time for school choice and let the public schools and the teacher's union wither.

Or at least teach them to behave on the school bus.

My grandsons are young and still a few years away from grade school and even though my son and his wife can afford private school for the boys my wife and I have stressed, on more than one occasion, that we will be more than happy to pay tuition for the boys private school.

I was home schooled.... I can't stress enough to keep your children /grandchildren out of public school. I almost went to Catholic school and we aren't even Catholic, but they have the best private school in our area.

Public schools are all about INDOCTRINATING your children. Counter culture and disdain for America as founded is part of the curricula along with partisan DEMOCRAT ideology. Find alternatives such as home schooling, private school, and move to states that have voucher programs if you care about your children.

"Public schools are all about INDOCTRINATING your children."

THIS is where parenting comes into play. PARENTS must teach their children what to accept and what to decline. Children can differentiate between 'book learning' and brainwashing IF parents apply the proper 'indoctrination' of their own at home.

I disdain 'home schooling' based on the general failures I've seen in three separate instances that resulted in terribly inadequate learning and total incapability of the children to transition into higher education.

Best comment so far. Parenting matters far more than what the schools are teaching.

Parents teach the morals and values. Then you don't have to worry about anything other than math homework.

You are correct.. Unfortunately far too many parents are not interested in raising their own children and they expect the school system/ government to do it for them.

Unfortunately, the balance of time is not in favor of the parents. If you spend 2 solid hours a day with them on morals, the school has spent 8 indoctrinating them with theirs telling them not to trust their parents. Plus they have the pressure and influence of their peers.

Same tactics the nazis used. All children want order and guidance in their life. So at a young age it is very easy for them to believe the lies that are told them by their teachers. The nazis taught that Jews were second class citizens in their schools. We teach that you may not really be a girl, or a boy. If you questioned the nazi authority in German schools back then, you were payed a visit by the gestapo, if you question how your kid is taught now in school, you can be put on the FBI domestic terrorist watch list. You can find books at school directed at kids on how the homosexual life is normal, along with graphic depiction on how to perform such acts. But you would be hard pressed to find a bible in any school library.
