Starting to worry Fed-Ex firearm delivery UPDATE: Got It!
Pics below…
If you recall, I proudly bought the Ugliest Glock listed on GB. It was due to arrive at my FFL 8 days ago.
It shipped via FED-EX and every day I get a delayed delivery notification.
Right now, we are 8 days into delayed delivery.
-
At least they haven't lost it. Once you stop receiving notifications and it hasn't arrived is when you start worrying.

It's too Embarrassed, to Show Up. 🤔
Your Welcome. 👍😁
I'll be here all week. 😉😂🤣

To the contrary, they probably have lost it or it would have been delivered by now.

Seriously.
I have it permanently in the accounts of any/all Mail Order companies that I do business with, "Do Not Involve Fed-Ex in Any Way With Deliveries."
(After) They lost 6 (Yes, Six) Shipments in a row to my house. "Placed on front porch. Placed by Car in driveway. Placed by Mailbox. Placed by Garage. Placed on front porch" (used several times.) Etc. Etc. (Idiots.)
Took Hours on the phone, to clear it all up. Finally getting my "Deliveries," by other methods.
Not going to do business with "Fed-Up," Ever - If given a choice.
You seem to be experiencing the same "Delivery" Joy, just now.
I wish you the best.

That is typical.....delayed delivery notices are normal. Its when there is NO movement for several days and no updates that you need to get the person that sent it to start a claim or file a trace request.
There are NO "good" choices for deliveries....they are all the same. The post office is the worst by far, but nobody is "good" at handling packages, delivering on time, paying claims for their mishandling and breaking things. We use FedEx because they gave us an account manager. He brings donuts.
We've never had a box go missing by any carrier....one was delivered empty one time....they have all broken things....they are all filled with employees that look like they belong on a Jerry Springer show....there is no happy route to take when it comes to shipping.

I hope you get your gun Dave. But at least if there is shipping damage after all this, it might not be noticeable?

I can't think of anything worse than a UGLY firearm except one that does not go BANG.🙂 ---------------Ray

Perhaps "underfoot".

Fed up is the absolute worst delivery service there is. I had a package delivered by them. Instead of bringing it to the house, the fool bent my house number until it cracked then snagged the package on the break and left.
On the other hand, the UPS driver is almost like a good buddy. He drives up to the garage, and I always go out to meet him, have some conversation with him and he's on his way.
My postal woman is the same way if it is a package she will bring it to the house if it won't fit in the mailbox.

The regular drivers from the 3 services are pretty good. They get a kick when I'm waiting on the front porch as they come in the long driveway. I tell them I heard them on the gravel as they turned off the road. Actually, I have a driveway alarm 700' from the house.
Recently, I found out that GPS maps deleted our main driveway & uses an old driveway off a secondary, gravel side road. I received a "delivered txt" & found the package was left at a locked back gate. It's in a wooded area, no mailbox or house # & obviously not well used. After several calls, I now have the local FedEx # & they've put a note on all deliveries re: which driveway to use.
I thought of contacting mapping companies to correct this, but kind of like it sending strangers to the wrong location.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^I have a very similar situation going on^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
GPS's state "You have reached your destination," 2/10th mi. Before you reach my house. (Different road.) It is my Neighbor/Buddy and my, "Back driveway" (for me,) main driveway for him. Since posted "No Trespassing" and with his House # "ONLY."
@Bubba Jr., I have the exact same scenario, in play.

FED-Ex just now dropped off 2 packages. Good news, your Glock wasn’t delivered here.

I'm wondering if it makes sense to include disposable GPS trackers in a package like this. I think I smell a business opportunity.

Oh look, it exists:

Couldn't you just use an Apple airtag?

Brother, I "Decline," the $1 "Package Protection," charge. 🙄
Why would I pay "extra," to guarantee you deliver it, to where it is supposed to go? 🤔
Pretty sure that "disposable," (?) GPS, would cost more than that. (And) How would that overcome/defeat the "You've arrived at your destination," Bovine Scatology?
Sorry. Pass.

Seeing that the grips on the Glock look like a dead snake you will get after who ever sees it lol.
By the way I like your gun

When to start worrying? As soon as you find out it’s going via FedEx!
12 -
Will you really be worse off if it is lost?
12 -
You should be thanking the FedEx people for testing out your new piece out in the field. If the driver rolls up with his mitt all bandaged up you know what happened.

At work, we track hardware movements & authentication with Diamond Dust.
It’s pretty crazy technology.
Cannot be forged, cannot be seen with the human eye @ cost about one cent per part to apply it.

Shoot, I saw you posted. I figured you'd received your Glock. 🤔
I was going to apologize, on behalf of Firearm Owner's everywhere. 👍😁

Behold this masterpiece. Gen 5 Glock 17. Which appeared to be unfired. I did run a few mags through it and it functions like a Glock.
It’s painted, not Cerakote, Bubba did the stipple job, sights that are a complete mystery to me, some sort of aftermarket trigger that I don’t care for.
The plan is to see if I can “fix it” into a reasonable gun and what does that actually cost. I might make a video and continue to share my progress for those interested.

The salesperson description of this is.....
"One of the most popular models manufactured by one of the most trusted manufacturers to ever make firearms. This is a FULL CUSTOM Glock 17 9mm with countless hours of hands on upgrades. The BATTLE WORN look makes you imagine if this could talk it would certainly have some stories to tell. The textured grip gives you a secure hold on this, sweat, blood, mud, will not be a problem....your hold on this firearm is secure. The ghost ring rear sight is spot on with the factory white dot front sight. It has a large mag well added to assure your next mag is engaged as quickly as possible. Front and rear slide serrations assist with slide operation and it has the traditional forward light/laser rail on the frame. The lanyard loop tops off ths "ready for anything" pistol....imgaine mountain climbing and running into a Cougar without any protection....or knowing you HAD it, but it fell somewhere along the way because it wasn't teathered properly. This takes care of that issue. The trigger is a duel hinge type trigger with safety in mind....always a plus."
Ha ha ha....I know....its overboard, but now you see this from my perspective.

I like it. At least it doesn't look like a dead snake🐍 lol it just looks camo. Good job
@Locust Fork love the gun shop description 😊
