Just had a discussion with an old friend who mentioned that the "mud" that the Burning Man revellers are stuck in is likely rich in "caliche".

This seems to mean that if the stuck vehicles don't get out before the mud dries, they're pretty much stuck in concrete.

Apparently if it gets on your vehicle and you don't wash it off pretty much immediately, it'll take a hammer and chisel to get rid of it.

    Nah. Hippies are coated in brown water-based preservative.

    I saw a neat video of a Dodge Ram and a travel trailer getting out. I have a feeling this Burning Man thing is very Sodom and Gomorrah or Babylon... It shouldn't surprise us.
